"We didn't set out to make another perfume brand. We wanted to bottle the feeling of the places that changed us."
The Bombay Lab was born from a simple realization: Indian perfumery often oscillates between cheap synthetic deodorants or traditional heavy attars, with very little in between for modern storytelling. We sought to bridge this gap.
We spent over two years traveling across India—from the crisp winds of Ladakh to the lazy mornings of Malabar. Instead of taking photographs, we recorded the scents. We noted the exact earthy dampness of the Ganges, the specific spice of a Mumbai cafe, the coastal salt of Bandra.
Working with master perfumers in Grasse, France, we then translated these exact profiles into 25% Extrait de Parfum formulations that perform beautifully in Indian climates. High endurance, no harsh chemicals, and uncompromising quality.
